As 12-month employees, this team meets year-round to ensure we're prepared to support student success. This week, they gathered for a day focused on:
✅ Strengthening Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)
✅ Enhancing communication through ParentSquare
✅ Reviewing and aligning special education supports
✅ Planning professional learning for staff
Each of these efforts support our district’s goal: ensuring ALL students are learning at high levels.

Juneteenth is a day of remembrance and recognition. It honors the official end of slavery in the United States.
Our district joins others across the country in observing this meaningful holiday and recognizing the importance of education and awareness.

Boone Middle School wrapped up the school year with an end-of-the-year assembly and fun! 🤩
The assembly featured a talent show, academic and behavior awards, and plenty of school spirit. A special tradition continued as the Boone Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International honored 8th graders with certificates—something they’ve proudly done for over 40 years.
The fun continued with 7th and 8th graders spending the rest of the day celebrating with games, sandcastle building, a slip and slide, and more. What a memorable way to close out a year of hard work and success! 🎉
The 2025-26 school year may be a couple months away, but now is a great time to start planning ahead! 📅

Earlier this month, our 5th and 6th grade students participated in the annual Ken Beverlin Memorial Track Meet! 🏃
It was a great opportunity for students to showcase their athletic abilities and sportsmanship while taking part in fun, friendly competition among classmates.

Boone CSD was proud to host Day 2 of the Iowa Governor's STEM Advisory Council BEST STEMposium! 🔬
Boone educators and local business partners shared the Boone Experience with attendees from across the state. Breakout sessions showcased the many opportunities available to Boone students, including Portrait of a Graduate Day, mock interviews, 8th grade career exploration, and integrating STEM at the elementary level.

Many of our students learn firsthand what it takes to be part of Iowa’s proud dairy tradition. From early mornings on the farm to leadership roles in FFA, they’re building skills that will serve them for a lifetime.

We’re excited to announce that the Toreador Food Pantry will serve as a distribution location for the Healthy Kids Iowa Pilot Program this summer! 🍎🥦
Eligible Iowa families who qualify will have expanded access to additional food during June, July, and August, including fruits, vegetables, dairy items, grains, and proteins.

Our Summer Toreador Strength and Conditioning program is off to a strong start! On the first day for high school girls, 57 athletes showed up ready to work and set the tone for the season ahead. 💪
