We’ve reached our first school-wide goal for the Kids Heart Challenge!!! Our students and families have already raised $1,500 for heart health so Monday will be dress like a P.E. teacher day. Students (and staff) can wear their best Mr. Hilmer look-alike outfits on Monday! Great job by our Franklin students and families!
Yesterday was our kickoff for the Kids Heart Challenge! Our building goal is to raise $5,000 for the American Heart Association. Here are the building incentives that we’re working towards:
Whole School Incentive:
$1,000 Dress Like a P.E. Teacher day
$2,500 Pajama Day
$5,000 Unlock Pie in the face from top lifesaver
Class Incentives:
Top class from each grade level: Free Choice Day next P.E. class
Individual Student Incentives:
$50 Lunch Recess with Mr. Hilmer
$100 Chose a warm up activity next class
* Top Lifesaver for each grade: Pie Mr. Hilmer in the face during lunch
*Top lifesaver from each grade will get to pie Mr. Hilmer in the face during lunch if the school reaches the $5,000 goal.
Reminder: Today is an early release. Students will be dismissed at 1:25.
Congratulations to our students who received Kid of Character certificates at lunch last Friday!
We met with 93% of our families for spring conferences! Thanks to all of our families who attended to about talk student progress. Our goal is always 95% or better so we’ll continue to work towards consistently achieving that.

We wrapped up showcase week with a great performance by our 2nd grade students! Thanks to everyone who came out to support the kids! One more big thanks to our amazing specialist team for all of their hard work to make the showcase nights happen!
Another great showcase tonight by our 3rd grade students and another packed house! They were so much fun to watch!
Reminder: 3rd grade showcase is tonight from 6:00-7:30 at Franklin. The music performance is at 6:30. Students are asked to be at the gym and ready to preform by 6:20. Looking forward to seeing lots of our families there for a fun night!
It was a packed house for the 4th grade showcase tonight! It was great to see so many of our families. Thanks to Mrs. Cunningham and all of our specialist teachers for their work in getting it organized and to our teachers and staff for their support! Great job by our students on their music program, artwork and tech projects!
Last week, the Franklin staff did a fundraiser to help families in Winterset who were affected by the recent tornado. We were able to raise over $400 and will be sending gas and grocery cards to help families who were displaced and those in need of assistance with cleanup. ❤️💚
