Due to the forecast for cold temperatures and rain, both swimming trips are cancelled. It’s unfortunate but we just can’t control the weather. Thanks for your understanding.

Swimming update: The weather doesn’t look like it’s going to cooperate for our swimming days this year. Wednesday is supposed to be cold and rainy and Thursday is predicted to be cool and cloudy. We’ll continue to watch the forecast before making a final decision but right now, it doesn’t look promising. We’ll make a final decision the day before each group goes and we’ll plan something fun at school if we aren’t able to go. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to reschedule our school swimming days.

Lunch menu for Friday, May 27:
Sack lunch w/ Uncrustable peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Reminder: The elementary block party was rescheduled and will be on Thursday, May 26, 5:00-7:00 at Lincoln Elementary. We hope to see lots of our elementary families there to celebrate a great year!

Franklin lunch menu for Wednesday, May 25:
Chicken nuggets
Potato smiles
Dinner roll
Fruit

Big thanks to Mount Olive Lodge #79 for their continued support of the Books for Bikes program! Our students were so excited about the drawings and they were really supportive when their someone else won a bike! Our Franklin students read and recorded a total of 24,540 minutes for Books for Bikes! We appreciate our continued partnership with Mount Olive Lodge #79 and their support of our students!

It was a great day for field day! Big thanks to all of our Franklin teachers and staff who helped monitor stations and had fun with kids! An extra big thanks to Mr. Hilmer for his organization, planning and hard work to make field day a great time. We’re lucky to have him at Franklin! Here are some pictures of our 4th graders having fun!

Reminder: Wednesday is field day! We have several water activities planned so it would be a good idea to send an extra set of clothes to school for your student to change into. The weather looks good and we’re looking forward to a fun day! 😎☀️

Mrs. Elsner’s 2nd grade class learned about properties of matter and used that knowledge to design a picture frame in the STEM room today!

Mr. Z from the Ericson Public Library stopped by today to tell our classes about the summer reading program! Make sure to ask your student about all of the fun things happening at the library this summer! We hope to have our students doing lots of reading!

4th Grade Parents:
There will be an informational parent/student meeting for incoming 5th grade students on Monday, May 23rd at 5:30 at Boone Middle School. They will go through general policies and procedures for BMS and end with a tour of the building. In addition to this, they will also have an open house in August for parents/students to visit the building before school starts. This will be a great opportunity to help our 4th graders (almost 5th grade) get off to a great start in middle school. All of our 4th graders went over for a tour of BMS on Wednesday but it's great to attend with a family member. Please contact the BMS office with any questions!
