The Boone Board of Education voted this evening to implement a mask mandate on Monday, September 27th for grades PK-8. We will be providing more guidance regarding this topic by the end of the week. Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation and understanding.
On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, there will be a Special BCSD School Board Meeting. The meeting will begin at 5:00pm at the high school auditorium. The agenda is attached for your review. This meeting will be live streamed on BooneTV's YouTube Page.

Yesterday afternoon our students had a wonderful opportunity to share all the great things happening at BHS with Governor Kim Reynolds.
I have had a few questions about the ruling made by Judge Pratt roughly an hour before our board meeting last evening. Our board did not discuss this topic last night, as agenda items at a regularly scheduled meeting require 24 hours notice, by law. It is also important to note that while a federal judge ruled local school boards could decide the mask issue, Governor Reynolds is stating she will appeal the decision. We expect our school attorneys to be providing some legal guidance in the next few days. Once legal clarification occurs, the board will meet, in special session if necessary, to clarify the situation in Boone.
